Dr. Sato’s Education and Experience
Dr. Sato is a general dentist with vast experience in dental implantology and orthodontic procedures. He graduated from the University of California at Irvine with his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and received his doctorate degree in dentistry from Columbia University. He completed a general practice residency at the Bronx Lebanon Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Sato has completed an oral surgery internship at the prestigious Tokyo Medical and Dental University and is also licensed to practice in Japan.
Dr. Sato was honored to practice with two of his Columbia University professors in Fort Lee, New Jersey for six years. He has received extensive clinical training in computer-enhanced treatment planning, implant surgery, multiple implant supported bridges, and bone grafting procedures. In addition, he completed a two year American Academy of Implant Dentistry Maxi-Course in dental implantology at Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. Concurrently, he enjoyed serving as the school dentist for New York Ikuei-Gakuen Japanese School, and spearheaded several dental awareness events at local schools.
Dr. Sato has completed a two year orthodontic training program through Progressive Orthodontic Seminars and has been a certified Invisalign provider since 2001. He is an active member in the American Orthodontic Society and participates in Annual Educational Sessions of the American Association of Orthodontists.
In 2004, Dr. Sato returned to Irvine to start his own private practice focusing on providing comprehensive dental care for families in the Orange County community. Since his return to California, Dr. Sato has completed an advanced periodontal surgery course and an advanced implant course at UCLA School of Dentistry. He believes in serving others and giving back to the community. He has participated in a mission trip to Nicaragua to provide dental care for the underserved communities, and volunteered as the school dentist for Asahi Gakuen Japanese Saturday School where he hosted the oral health education programs for many years. He continues to volunteer as a school dentist at local pre-schools and holds dental awareness events annually.
In his free time, Dr. Sato enjoys fitness, traveling, playing guitar, and watching his son’s baseball games and daughter’s dance performances. We are confident that you will enjoy his kind demeanor, warm smile, and appreciate his desire to provide excellent and compassionate care for his patients.
